今年 Sunshine Nation 的主辦機構加拿大中文電台首次與電視廣播有限公司（TVB）合作，全力發掘溫哥華的帥哥美女，加入 TVB 這個無人不曉的電視王國。除了電視廣播，TVB 的業務亦包括電影、音樂和數碼媒體等。
Sunshine Nation 8 強經已誕生，他們將於 8 月 23 日 晚上 8 時假 Michael J. Fox Theatre 舉行的決賽中角逐男女冠軍、「安加財稅 才藝大獎」、「陽光魅力大獎」及由網民選出的「我最喜愛 Sunshine 大獎」。入圍的 Sunshine Boyz 及 Girlz 除了接受連串密集式的體能、儀態、舞蹈、口才及舞台訓練，更有機會獲得 TVB 的試鏡機會。全場獎品包括獎學金、擔任雜誌封面主角、參與電視廣告演出，但更重要的，是有機會前赴香港發展演藝事業。
Sunshine Nation Star Search is organized by Fairchild Radio and supported by Television Broadcasts Limited (TVB), the largest broadcast kingdom in Hong Kong. By entering Sunshine Nation Star Search, 8 finalists will get a chance to pursue an acting and performing career in Asia. They will also shine on stage and showcase your singing, dancing and acting talent. 8 finalists will compete for the Boyz Champion, Girlz Champion, Grandtag Financial Talent Award, Charisma Award and Online People’s Choice Award on August 23, 8pm at Michael J. Fox Theatre.
